What are linked files in artwork?

Linked files are external files such as images or graphics, that are not physically embedded in the main document, but are referenced in it.

When adding images or graphics into your artwork, you can choose to embed the files directly or establish a reference, also known as a “hot link.”

While linking can be convenient during the design stage, it’s crucial to ensure all referenced files are properly included before sending your artwork to print. Missing or incorrectly linked files can result in blank spaces on your final prints.

Our team takes every step to identify and resolve these issues, it can sometimes be hard to recognise when something that should be there, is not.
